Do you have something special from your past that you would like to take out of the bureau drawer and display? A shadow box could be the perfect answer. We recently had a Playboy Bunny outfit that the client had tucked away for over 20 years. She decided it was time to display the memory of a time in her life that afforded her a chance to go to nursing school. This is the end result. There is a lot that goes unseen in putting together a finished project like this.  We thought we would share  the process with you. [:minigallery:] We begin with the initial layout, designed with the customer. the frame selected must be deep enough to accommodate objects in the design.  Each element  has to be sewn down by hand to the mat. At the same time someone else is building the shadowbox itself using the mat chosen to make the walls of the shadow box into the frame itself. Finally the mounted pieces are assembled into the frame.
