Framers Edge

Every Christmas we have a favorite project. This year it was really something special! We had a customer come in who had recently lost her mom and wanted to do something unique for her two sisters. From what we learned about her mom she was quite a woman and the life of the party. She and her daughters were very close. Our client came in with a beautiful sparkly sequined dress her mom had worn and a poem about her. She wanted to incorporate the dress in a gift for her sisters for Christmas. Her plan was to cut the dress in half and frame each side with the poem. After trying to lay this out, we came up with a new plan. We took pieces of the dress and created a sequined mat to surround the poem. She had her sisters’ Christmas gifts. The best part is her husband snuck into the store and ordered one for her as well. So all three sisters have a beautiful remembrance of their very special mother. Here is our finished piece
