Framers Edge

Great, great Grandma and Grandpa Gillespie lived in the attic for over a hundred years.  Their descendant who found them decided they deserved better.  We agreed.  Not many people have photographs of their family that date back five generations. This special project deserved special attention. We started by putting a fillet around each photograph that came with its own paper matting from the 1850's,  We raised the photographs and attached them to a silk mat.  Next, we built a special angled mat with its own fillet to give it a unique shadowboxed look that draws your eye into the images.  We finished it off with a beautiful Larson-Juhl frame from the Biltmore Collection. We think the spectacular result epitomizes The Art of Custom Framing!
